Baby Shower Mod - the sims 4

Baby Shower Mod - the sims 4

Image result for Baby Shower Mod - the sims 4

This game play mod includes:
  • New party type: Baby Shower
  • Custom “goals” to complete during the baby shower party (see below for more information)
  • New base game rewards for bronze, silver, and gold
  • Custom buffs associated with throwing a baby shower
How to Play:
The Baby Shower event can be thrown by anyone in the game; it isn't just restricted for pregnant Sims only. However, for the party to work properly, you need to have a pregnant Sim in your household (or invite a pregnant Sim to your party), so you can complete all the tasks :) You can “throw” the party for a pregnant Sim and it'll work fine, but be aware that the buffs and gifts will be given to the host of the party, so it really makes the most sense to select the pregnant Sim as the host of any baby shower you throw.  Important: It is best to wait until your Sim is at least in their second trimester of the pregnancy.  The goals for gold require you to be able to feel the pregnant Sim's baby, which isn't possible until the second trimester.

Pregnant Sims will have whims to plan a baby shower!  You can clear the goal by planning the event through the phone.

There are custom goals for the parties, which rotate each time you play. In total, there are 15 tasks that your Sim may have upon throwing a baby shower.  Two of the tasks require my baby shower CC (presents and greeting cards) to complete; both items are included with the download and should be placed on the lot when you start your Baby Shower.

These items are interactive and have custom interactions, made by me.  Any Sims can perform the interaction, but if a pregnant Sim does, they will receive a special moodlet :)  The moodlet appears at any time, so long as your Sim is pregnant

How to Install:

Unrar, then drop the package files in your Documents > Electronics Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder.

Turbo Careers Mod Pack - the sims 4

Turbo Careers Mod Pack - the sims 4

Image result for sims 4 turbo careers mod

The Sims 4 Turbo Careers Mod Pack! For players who have both The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack, Turbo Careers turns all closed adult careers into open ones, as well as two of the teen careers (Fast Food and Barista) with the possibility of more in the future.

Like with the careers introduced in Get to Work, when it’s time for a Sim to leave for work, you’ll receive the option to follow them, provided that there is a venue for the career in one of the worlds. If you choose “Join”, you’ll be sent to the appropriate career venue. Once there, you’ll be assigned goals to complete, which will changed based on the career and level. Getting a higher score and completing your daily task will result in higher performance which will lead to getting promoted faster.
The Careers - All careers supported by the mod have a different set of goals and requirements which change as you rise up. There is also field work at the upper levels.
Venues and Requirements  - Careers take place at venues you can create yourself or download from the gallery. Each venue has its own set of required objects. You can also choose to use a combined venue if you need to save space in the world.

Known Issues:
  • At the moment, individual venues won’t take priority over combined ones, so for example, if you have a combined venue for the Astronaut, Athlete and Secret Agent careers but also have a separate one for the Secret Agent career, the individual one won’t be prioritized and Sims in the Secret Agent career will be sent to a random one of the two venues. Individual venues were only added late in development (after the 1.9 patch added a scrollbar to the venue list) so I haven’t had time to make them more detailed.
  • Some career levels don’t match up perfectly to their names and descriptions, since that would be impossible without changing them. I might make a mod in the future that renames career levels and changes their descriptions, but not right now.
  • When switching from a career that has its own uniform to one that doesn’t, Sims will attend work in their old uniform. This can be fixed with my Customizable Career Outfits mod.
  • Career events will count towards some goals in the “Party Animal” aspiration. I haven’t checked if this is exclusive to the mod or if it also effects Get to Work careers.  It has been confirmed that this is an issue with the active careers system, not the mod.
  • Sometimes, when downloading a lot from the gallery, the game won’t automatically register it to the career events system. After downloading a work lot from the gallery or placing one from your library, set the lot type to something random, exit build mode, enter build mode again then set the lot type to the correct type. If this is your first time using the mod, I strongly suggest saving before sending a Sim to work for the first time, just to make sure you didn’t make any mistakes. If you fail to do this, you won’t receive the option to follow your Sim to work, and the venue may behave in other strange ways.
    • This only seems to apply to custom venue types, so you won’t need to do this to every lot to be able to receive field work on it.
  • You will need to pay for food and other stuff out of your own money. This isn’t entirely bad though, since you receive a lot more benefits, like skill and career gains.
  • When you get promoted and reach a branch off, the branch selection will appear on screen before you get teleported home, then reappear after the home lot loads. This is merely a UI glitch, it doesn’t effect gameplay.
  • I received a report that a Sim was fired for fighting at work in the Criminal career despite it being a goal. I wasn’t able to reproduce this problem, but my unconfirmed theory is that this will happen if you fight a Sim marked as a “co-worker”. To prevent this from happening, only fight Sims outside the career.

Bachelor/Bachelorette Party Mod - the sims 4

Bachelor / Bachelorette Party Mod - the sims 4

Image result for sims 4 bachelorette party mod

This game play mod includes:
  • New party type: Bachelor(ette) Party
  • Can be thrown by male or female sims (but they must be engaged, of course)
  • Custom goals to complete during the party
  • Custom interactions which only appear during the party!
  • New party role: “Private Dancer” which allows you to hire a stripper of your choice for the party!
  • Custom buffs/moodlets associated with having a Bachelor(ette) Party
  • Custom rewards (conversions from The Sims 2 and The Sims 3) for completing bronze, silver or gold parties!
  • Custom whims for engaged Sims to throw a Bachelor(ette) Party

    How to Play
The Bachelor(ette) Party event works similar to my other custom events/events currently in the game. The event is thrown by using the phone, and works like the Wedding event- i.e. you must be engaged to throw a Bachelor(ette) Party. The event is for male or female Sims, and they can invite any of their friends/family to come; nothing is gender-restricted.

There's a new party role: “Private Dancer” which will allow you to hire a stripper for the party. The stripper can be anyone in your game (Young Adult or older) regardless of gender or if they know your active Sims or not. By default, the Private Dancer will show up to the event in their “Party” attire; I recommend dressing the Sim you plan to hire beforehand so they don't show up in some weird “townie” outfit ;) When you ask them to perform a private dance, they will strip down to their nude outfit (giving off varying reactions to the nearby Sims ;))- if you have a smaller pixel model, or a nude skin mod, they will show up with smaller pixels, or nude- basically, whatever settings you have for nakedness.

There's a total of 14 goals that can appear during the party. The goals are randomly generated each game, but most are for the custom interactions added to the event (i.e. “Ask a Guest to Be In Your Wedding Party”, “Ask for Marriage Advice”, “Joke About Wedding Night”, etc.). There's one goal (Take Pictures) which requires Get to Work- if you have that goal, but don't have the Get To Work EP, you should be able to clear the goal also using the friendly base game interaction, “Take A Picture.” If you ever get a goal you can't complete for some reason, you should be able to skip it and move on to the others to work towards your goal. If you don't get gold- try again! There's no limit to the amount of parties your engaged Sims can have :)

There's custom moodlets and rewards for completing the event. All the rewards are conversions from The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. Bronze and Silver rewards are different decorative wedding-related objects, the Gold rewards are the decorative items and wedding arches converted from The Sims 3. All the rewards are locked until you acquire the appropriate medal for the party, however, you can use cheats (bb.ignoregameplayunlocksentitlement) to unlock the rewards for build mode prior to the party.

Finally, the party can be thrown on several different lots: Clubs, Nightclubs, Lounge, home lots, and the new Karaoke venue which comes with City Living.

    Known Issues:
  • There is a random glitch sometimes where the event will generate a goal I didn't include in the mod.  These goals cannot be cleared, and therefore must be ignored until the party is over.  Usually, they won't prevent you from gaining bronze or silver (if you complete the other goals), but could interfere with you completing gold, depending on when they pop-up.  This seems to be totally random and happens rarely, but if it does, you can try quitting/restarting the game and trying the event again, or just ending the event once you reach bronze, then starting again to "reset" the goals.  This seems to be a glitch with the game itself.

  • How to Install:
Extract the folder then drop the package files in your Documents > Electronics Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods folder. There are several files (the mod itself, as well as the custom rewards)- it might be best to keep them all together in one “Bachelor Party” folder.

Fashion Career Mod - the sims 4

Fashion Career Mod - the sims 4

Image result for sims 4 fashion career

This game play mod includes:
  • The ability to join a new career in game: Fashion Career
  • The ability to later branch off to one of three branches: Model, Fashion Journalist or Designer.
  • Tons of custom interactions
  • Custom whim to join the Fashion Career if your Sims have skills in painting or charisma
  • Tons of custom moodlets
  • Custom career tones (actions) which your Sims can do while at work
  • Custom “chance cards” which will give your Sims a positive or negative work boost depending on your answer!
  • Models can practice modelling in the mirror
  • Models who have a higher career level can “walk the runway” while at work and can receive a variety of moodlets depending on their skill level!
  • Models can offer fashion advice, or brag about being a model!
  • Models earn a special trait at the top of their career which enhances their friendships and relationships.
  • Designer Sims can create custom fashion designs on the easel- as their painting skill increases, their designs get better (over 30 custom painting designs).
  • Designers can also sell their work for profit, and will receive a notification each time, telling whether or not their work was chosen by a top fashion label
  • Designers receive a trait at the top of their career which allows them to sell their own fashions at a much higher profit
  • Journalists can interview other Sims about their outfits, then write positive or negative articles about them (be careful- your Sims friends might not like a negative article written about them ;))
  • At the top of the journalism career, Sims can write their own fashion magazine (just like publishing a book on the computer). The magazine can then be read, sold, or published for other Sims to enjoy!
The mod is base game compatible.  It should be compatible with all other mods, including custom careers. It does not override anything in your game.  It IS a script mod, so make sure your script mods are enabled and that your game is up to date before playing.  This is not an “active” Get to Work career- so your Sims will not get the option to go to work- instead, this is the “traditional” career, styled like the base game careers.

How to Play:

The fashion career is available for Young Adults, Adults, and Elders to join. The career starts you off on the bottom of the fashion world, working in retail- and after you work your way up, you have the opportunity to branch off into one of three branches: Model, Designer, or Fashion Journalist.

This career is NOT active (like the ones from Get To Work); you won't follow your Sims to work at all. However, there are custom career tones (actions) for your Sims to do at work- as well as custom buffs/moodlets for doing so.  As your Sim works their way up, the custom tones will replace the generic ones (i.e. "walk the runway" will replace "work hard" for models).

While at work, you may receive a chance card!  These pop up randomly throughout your Sims' day and will give them a scenario that's related to their career in fashion.  There are always two choices, but each choice has a variety of random results which can increase or decrease your Sims' work performance.  There are 17 chance cards in total- each branch has 3-6 chance cards.

Each branch has special interactions and tasks specific to the career (for example, models can “practice modelling” in the mirror, journalists can interview Sims about their outfits and write positive or negative articles about them, and designers can draw custom outfits on the easel and sell them for profit!). Every branch has a different daily task, and each level has objectives to complete before you are promoted.

There are also rewards for promotions. Each level has a monetary reward, but there are also base game objects (which will help to complete the daily task), custom content rewards (which will emit an emotional aura tied to your career), and interactive rewards (like the ability to “Discuss Fashion” with other Sims or “Give Fashion Advice”). When your Sims reach Level 10 of the careers, the Models and Designers receive special traits, and the Journalists can publish magazines.

Each branch has something that makes it unique! Models practice modelling, as mentioned above, and may also walk the runway while at work. Designers can actually paint custom outfits on the easel and sell their designs. Journalists can conduct interviews, write articles, and later publish a fashion magazine. You can play any of the three branches and have a unique experience each time :)

If you need to cheat to skip a career level, the cheat is: careers.promote fashion. To demote a sim, the cheat is: careers.demote fashion.  Please note that using cheats may cause problems with the custom interactions.  Use cheats at your own risk!

Please note that you cannot switch branches once you've selected one.  For example, if your Sims choose the Designer branch, they cannot later quit and rejoin the fashion career and start a different branch: they will always have to be a designer.

Completing the Daily Tasks:

If you can't find the Daily Tasks, or don't know how to complete them, here's a quick guide to each one:

Fashion Career Levels 1-5 Daily Task: Research Fashion
Can be found on the computer under Web> Research Fashion
Will work on ALL computers (even CC computers)

Model Branch Levels 6-10 Daily Task: Practice Modelling
Can be found on mirrors
Should work on ALL standing mirrors and most wall mirrors (and you’ll receive a new mirror when you’re promoted)

Journalist Branch Level 6-10 Daily Task: Write Articles
First, select a Sim and interview them about their outfit (found in Friendly).
After, click on the computer, go to Write and then write either a negative or positive article about their outfit.  You’ll need to do a few articles for the daily task to be complete.
Will work on all Sims (introduce yourself first) and all computers

Designer Branch Level 6-10 Daily Task: Design Fashion
Click on the easel and click "Design."  Then choose from a small, medium, or large canvas.  Paint a design.
Will work on all easels.

Prom Mod - the sims 4

Prom Mod - the sims 4

Image result for sims 4 prom party

This game play mod includes:
  • The ability to throw and attend a prom event for teens!
  • Invite up to 40 teens (and any teens in your household!)- any teen in the town can be invited, not just the ones you know!
  • New party role: “Chaperone”
  • Custom goals to complete during the prom
  • Custom rewards for bronze, silver and gold parties (new objects created by me and a conversion of the Prom Crown from TS3 Generations!)
  • Prom rewards are interactive objects, which only Sims who attended prom can obtain buffs from!
  • Tons of new buffs/moodlets for attending prom! Sims with certain traits will have different reactions to attending prom, so everyone can have a unique experience!
  • New buffs for bronze, silver and gold parties
  • Even Chaperones will have custom buffs/moodlets from their prom experience!
  • A custom whim for teens to “go to prom”
  • Proms can be thrown on Generic Lots, so random adults/un-invited Sims won't show up. DJs (if you have Get Together) and Bartenders will already be there when your Sims arrive!
  • A Prom venue, made by me, which you can place in your game! Comes with everything you need to have an amazing prom; food, drinks, stereos, dance floor, DJ booth, bar, tables, chairs, and photo studio (you need to have Luxury Party Stuff, Get Together, and Get To Work for most items to show up!)
  • ...or, build your own prom venue (or turn any lot in your town to Generic) to throw your prom!

    How to Play:

The prom event can only be thrown by teens (obviously).  Teens will get custom whims to go to prom- the whim will be completed upon them using the phone to throw a prom event.  Prom costs $50 (the cost of a prom "ticket").   There are no additional costs; the ability to hire roles such as caterer, mixologist, and entertainer have been removed.

Instead, you have three roles to choose from: host, party goer(s), and chaperone.

The host role is for the teen(s) in your household.  Yes, if you have more than one teen in your home, they can all go to prom together.  Keep in mind, though, that they will all get the same "prom King/Queen" moodlet if you get gold.  Or, you can have them go one at a time- it's up to you.

    Screenshot (252) copy
    Screenshot (292) copy

Party Goer is for all the teens in your game.  It's tuned so that you can invite ANYONE in your game, regardless of if your teen actually knows them or not, and regardless of if they're in your "played households" or in the "not in world" bin.  The minimum is 5 teens, but you can invite up to 40.  If you don't have many teens in your town, I actually uploaded a household of 8 new teens to the Gallery; they're already dressed in their formal wear and ready to party! I recommend inviting all the teens in your town- it feels more realistic that way, and there's a goal at the beginning to introduce yourself to a new sim, so you'll need some teens you don't already know.  Party Goer teens will autonomously do things like dance and socialize!  All teens will change to their formal wear autonomously.  No awkward party guests :)

The Chaperone role is not required, but can only be fulfilled with a Young Adult or older, whom your teen already knows.  Chaperones will autonomously do things like clean up the venue, but they'll also dance and socialize with the teens.  If you pick a chaperone from your active household, you can direct them to do things like refill the fountain or buffet table (if you have Luxury Party stuff installed) or take pictures at the photo booth (if you have Get To Work).   Chaperone's dress up like Librarians with glasses and a sweater vest...I thought the nerdy look was appropriate for prom ;)

    Screenshot (294) copy
    Screenshot (261) copy
There are custom goals to complete in order to get a bronze, silver, or gold prom reward. The goals are all social in nature, and things I thought would make sense to do at a prom. They are designed for one Sim to complete, but if you have multiple teens in your home, they can all work towards completing goals.  If you ever get stuck on a goal, hover over it and a tooltip will pop up to explain how to complete the task :)

Proms can ONLY be thrown on Generic lots.  The reason for this being if you throw a prom on bars or nightclubs, random Sims who you didn't invite will show up.  I thought this was a bit jarring, especially when you throw a prom and a bunch of elders or the Grim Reaper appears, haha.  You can download my Prom Venue below (or on the gallery, under brittpinkie- it's called "Prom") and add it to your game, or make your own Prom Venue.  If you share it, please use the hashtag #prommod so others can find it too :)  Alternatively, you can change any lot you want to Generic and throw your prom there.  Bartenders and DJs will be on the Generic lots already if you have the proper items for them to do their jobs!

My venue has everything in it you need to throw a prom.  It is CC free, but you'll need to have Get Together, Get to Work and Luxury Party Stuff (especially LPS, as most of the decor and seating is used from that pack) if you want everything to show up.

    Known Issues:

  • There is a glitch where starting a new save game and moving to the lot, "Summer House" in Windenburg will cause a Mixologist to appear on the lot.  This is caused by a glitch in the coding for that particular lot (the game recognizes it as both a Generic and Residential lot- therefore Mixologists are appearing there because they think they need to show up for work/prom).  It only seems to happen with new saves, or when the lot has never been lived in before.  If you encounter this glitch, you can try opening the Gallery then closing it (the Mixologist vanished after I did this, I think it resets the lot), or you can move the Sim off the lot and back on, and the Mixologist should also leave.  You can also wait for their "shift" to end- another Mixologist will not reappear.  This is not something I can fix, sadly- it's a glitch within the way that particular lot, hopefully it'll be patched out soon!
  • Sometimes, when downloading a lot from the gallery or the library, the game won’t automatically register it as a lot that can be visited for an event and the “Plan a Social Event” page will show up blank. After downloading my prom venue (or any other generic venue) from the gallery or placing one from your library, set the lot type to something random (if you use my Prom venue, just change it to “Bar”), exit build mode, enter build mode again then set the lot type back to Generic. It will then show up when you go to plan your prom event.
